There is $10,000 in cash prizes for the main event and many, many other prizes to be given away in special side events as well as door prizes all day long. We’re working hard to make it the best ever and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Hurst Conference Center on Sunday, February 25th.

Announcement: The Main Event is Modern Format!

We are excited to announce that the format for the main event of the 2018 Hunter Burton Memorial Magic Open will be Modern. We are confident this change will make our fifth anniversary event more exciting and fun than ever. Furthermore, contrary to previous years the top eight will also play with the Modern decks used in the Swiss rounds. We anticipate a higher number of players for the March 10, 2018 event which requires that we remove the top eight draft. While very fun, draft is more time-consuming. Our goal is to provide the highest quality tournament experience to everyone who attends the 2018 Hunter Burton Memorial Magic Open. We look forward to seeing everyone on March 10th!
